Work Slowdown at Wood’n Bits
Those of you who follow my blog may have noticed a slow-down of sorts at Wood’n Bits. I’ve been reluctant to say anything about it but it occurred to me that this might be interpreted as being a lack of interest in the blog on my part so I thought I should say a few words.

Truth is, I’ve been having some health problems that have kept me from the shop, kept me from having fun, and kept me from documenting stuff for the blog. Instead, I’m doing my best imitation of a rock, waiting less than patiently to have some surgery done. My best guess is that it’s going to be another two to three weeks before I get back in the groove but back in the groove I will get. Thanks for your patience.
Cheers — Larry

Larry, so sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I hope you can get through all this quickly. We must be getting old – the moment someone disappears for awhile, I assume health problems not disinterest.
Lisa
Sorry to hear that you are having a bit of rough time. It is no fun being a rock unless you are in some exotic place where you can enjoy the scenery. I hope all goes well with you and we will see you back here soon.
Larry – sending healing thoughts and good wishes for a quick recovery. We can’t have you sitting around like a rock – my goodness, moss may begin to grow on you!!
Thanks everyone for your comments. The one thing I’ve learned is that my lack of interest in watching TV doesn’t come simply from wanting to do other things. I’ve become a “sports fan” simply because concentrating on anything has been hard for me lately. There is NOTHING more boring than sports on TV, even when there are no alternatives. It’s no wonder our society is slow to think about anything anymore. People have been lulled to sleep by TV

Larry , I am sorry to learn of your trouble. Good luck and I hope you will be back with us soon.
You are right about the tv- it IS boring , even if you don’t have anything else to interest you …so please heaven , I do hope you will be recovering as soon as possible and do your bestest to become a hopping rock again.( huh ?whatsdat ?Well, I invented this on the spot…)
Larry I’m so sorry to know you’re struggling with health issues. I wish you a speedy recovery where you’ll be feel revitalised and able to resume your passions (and sharing them too!0
Brenda
Hi Larry! Ok… we all get down some times… and under the weather… but we need you up and producing… so get well fast… and get away from those tv sports shows… it’s just NOT YOU! LOL
Much love

Larry, I’m with Lisa, I never assume a lack of interest, just a change in health or something else from RL that can get in the way. I wish you well with your surgery, hope it’s sooner rather than later, and that you’re back to your own self in no time at all ( that’s own self, not old self because age is a just number and old implies it matters somehow). In no time at all you’ll be back to being a Rolling Stone instead of a rock. Take care.
Lissa
You guys are making me feel better with all your supportive comments. They are much appreciated. Elly, I like the thought of being a ‘hopping rock.’ It should keep the moss from growing and make me a difficult target
Cheers — Larry
Larry, hope the surgery all goes well and you are soon back to your helpful and fun self.

Larry:
I’m behind in reading posts, blogs, etc., but when I read that you will be having some surgery soon, I wanted to add my wishes and prayers for your speedy recovery. It’s no fun sitting around being a rock for a busy, creative person like you! I’m going to faithfully watch your blog for that hurrah moment . . .
Marlene
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Larry. Hope surgery goes well. You and your wife have had enough problems. Am still on my way home from Castine – will arrive tomorrow.
Take care,
Peggy
