We Made It!

What is it that causes teenage daughters to turn on every light in the house? Our electric bill is just nuts.
Anyways, I was reflecting on 2009. Lots of bad stuff happened but also a lot of really good stuff. This blog has accounted for a lot of the good stuff. When I started it a year ago I never thought I would hit the end of the year having had so many visitors. Thank you all for your support.
I hope you’re looking forward to 2010 as much as I am. It’s gonna be a doozy. Hope you’ll be around and help with the conversation. To all in the woodworking world,
** Happy New Year **
Cheers — Larry

Ooh, that’s a spiffy hacienda you have there. ; )
All the best to you and your family in 2010, Larry. And thank you for your wonderful contributions to the blogging world.
I am not in the woodworking world, but I love looking at any wood creation and I certainly enjoy your blog. I have always admired woodworkers and wish I had that skill. I tried to get both my sons interested in carpentry but they were just not interested. I wish you and your family all the best in 2010 and I will continue to follow.
Larry, what is that beautiful building you’re showing on this page? It’s a gem! Did you take the photo?
A very happy 2010 to you and your family, and many thanks for your wonderful blog!
Thanks to all for the kind words. 2010 is going to be a doozy (this is a technical term meaning – “over the top”, which means “beyond belief” – even if you have lots of imagination.
So, Pat, you’re not buying the implication that the photo was taken of my house. What gave it away?
Indeed, it is not my house. I couldn’t afford the electric bill. Heck, I can’t afford the wine in that place. It is the Hotel Frontenac, a grand hotel inside the walled city that is “Old Quebec.” It overlooks the Ste-Lawrence Seaway and is one of my favorite places to stand, gawking and listening to the tourists (it’s a chance to hear English). You should see the INSIDE if you think the outside is nice.
